The provision of quality medical services is the main target that every health care provider aims at achieving. Medical practitioners should have effective technical skills to ease their service delivery to their clients regardless of the health care sector’s various challenges.
During the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, many government-imposed restriction measures had adverse effects in many sectors, including health care. Patients with comorbidities have a weak immune system, and they can quickly get the virus by getting closer to individuals infected with the virus.
The COVID-19 pandemic triggered the medical practitioners to apply various technological measures such as telemedicine to help them offer unique and safe services to their patients, thus minimizing the possibility of high virus spread to patients.
Telemedicine is an effective technology innovative measure that medical practitioners embrace to deliver safe services to their clients. Such technology existed before the pandemic but was not widely used since many patients preferred attending the medical facilities physically as opposed to telemedicine. However, the only process that could ensure that patients and medical practitioners could interact effectively for critical illnesses was through Zoom and video conferencing. Therefore, the COVID-19 pandemic was a key contributor towards the application of innovative measures by the medical providers for the safe delivery of services.
Health care sectors devised remarkable strategies of contact tracing, which allowed them to trace the people who had been in contact with the individuals infected with the infectious COVID-19 virus.
Telecommunication systems monitored the people and isolated them from the rest of the population. Contact tracing was an effective technological measure of minimizing the spread of coronavirus since isolating people suspected to have got the virus and quarantining those infected helped reduce the exposure of other people to high risks of being infected. The primary role of the health care sector is to offer proper treatment to people infected with a particular illness and initiate strong measures of curbing the spread of the disease to the healthy population. Medical facilities could easily be overwhelmed by many patients if proper preventive measures are not initiated to minimize the exposure of many people to the risk of being infected.
The rate of preparedness by health care facilities is determined by its innovative capabilities in designing unique machines to help in service delivery. The development of automated robots has helped offer services to the sick and aged who could not quickly move from one place to another. The use of robots minimizes the possibility of such people being in contact with a contaminated surface that could be having adverse effects on the immune system of the sick. Thus, the medical fraternity should always initiate remarkable technological innovations to boost their potential to deliver quality services to the general public.
Conclusively, the health care system is critical since it deals with human health and the unavoidable application of unique technological innovation to improve service delivery.
Therefore, the sector should persistently collaborate with information and technology systems to develop unique machines to improve patient service delivery. The provision of quality services to the targeted patients could only be attained when good research has been conducted to understand the causes, effects, and ways of treating various illnesses. In conclusion, the health care sectors of entire nations globally should collaborate to solve different forms of diseases.
