Stanford thinks this medical student is unfit to be a doctor:

In a rare and serious step, Stanford University Medical School is weighing the future career of one of its medical students, saying he has a pattern of complaints about his behavior that may make him unsuitable to be a doctor . . .

. . . At Wednesday’s hearing, Muñoz was confronted with a long list of complaints from supervisors. They reported instances when he was tardy, absent or left early. He didn’t call to say he would not attend a meeting, they alleged. He didn’t take an important licensing test when he said he would. His records were late and illegible.

In the memo, doctors accused him of lacking respect, compassion and empathy with patients. During one gynecologic exam, he was reported to have said, ‘Eeeew, is that normal? What kind of STD (sexually transmitted disease) could that be?’ At another time, he asked: ‘Is that OK on her cervix? Will it affect her pregnancy?’ Muñoz denied having made those remarks.
