Every major news organization now has a health blog, ranging from the Wall Street Journal to the New York Times.
As such, their entries take a more down the middle approach to stories, as opposed to a blog like this one, where I can feel free to inject bias and opinion as often as I’d like.
Recently, Tara Parker-Pope of the NY Times’ Well was taken to task (via Schwitzer) by an associate editor of Slate, over a blog entry on a study examining bullying.
Mainstream media health blogs generally receive more traffic and can wield tremendous influence. It’s good to see that their bloggers are being kept on their toes.
