There is a severe shortage of PCPs in Canada, forcing patients to get their care in the ER:
17% of Canadians don’t have a regular family doctor. . .
. . . This is higher than the 15% of Americans who don’t have health insurance. Both groups don’t have regular access to a physician and presumably both groups are forced to get their care from the ER. Wow. As a Canadian you are guaranteed health care coverage but you are statistically less likely to have access to regular health care than an American.
