  2. Lower Lung Cancer Risk Seen in Nonsmokers on Metformin. Diabetic nonsmokers who had taken metformin had a decreased risk of lung cancer compared with metformin non-users.
  3. Patients Themselves the Next Data Frontier. The next frontier of health information technology (IT) will involve more patient involvement in their own records and more use of patient data to improve public health.
  4. Dr. Maiden Name Will See You Now. All of this focus on the last name is particularly relevant to young women entering the field of medicine.
