  2. Are E-Cigs a Gateway to Smoking? Lots of questions remain about the effects that using electronic cigarettes have on adolescents, including whether they are a “gateway” drug to regular cigarettes.
  3. Food Companies Dodge Real Reforms in Marketing to Kids. Although makers of breakfast cereals and fast foods have technically fulfilled pledges made in an industry self-regulation initiative involving marketing to children, those promises didn’t address the real problems
  4. Intensive Tx Fails to Slow Atherosclerosis. Aggressive blood pressure and lipid-lowering treatment after stenting had the expected effect on those surrogate markers but didn’t slow down atherosclerosis any better in the Japanese MILLION trial.
