The national organization that ranks health insurers said it has chosen Harvard Pilgrim Health Care as the top health plan in the country, based on several quality measures and a survey of its members.
The National Committee for Quality Assurance, a nonprofit group based in Washington, D.C., runs a voluntary accreditation program for health plans and ranks their performance annually. For the first time, the same plan — Harvard Pilgrim — topped both of the organization’s lists for clinical care and member satisfaction.
