- Kids from Military Families Less Likely to be Fully Immunized. Young children in military families were less likely to be up to date with their vaccinations than other U.S. children, according to National Immunization Survey data (NIS) from 2007 to 2012.

Babies born to women who used opioid pain relievers in pregnancy were more likely to be born small and to face additional health problems than babies whose mothers did not use opioids, according to a large, population-based study of Tennessee mothers and infants in the Medicaid program.
