  1. Peds Serve as Primary Prevention for Child Abuse. Physical abuse of children and infants is often difficult to diagnose, but can lead to lifelong physical and mental health disorders, according to a new clinical report from the American Academy of Pediatrics.
  2. Blood Test to Guide RA Tx Proves Cost Effective. Using the results from a multibiomarker disease activity (MBDA) blood test to guide treatment decisions in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) can improve functional status and cost efficiency.
  3. Study Pinpoints Potential Regulators of Brown Fat. Researchers have identified approximately more than 1,000 long-non-coding RNAs in mouse brown adipose tissue, including 127 brown adipose-tissue (BAT)-restricted loci, which could advance the search for novel BAT-related therapies to treat obesity and diabetes.
