  1. Is This ‘Meaningful Use’? Docs Say Yes, Patients Unsure. Proposed changes to patient engagement requirements under the federal government’s Meaningful Use program are drawing praise from physician groups but are disappointing patient advocates.
  2. Point: Does the Risk of E-Cigarettes Exceed Potential Benefits? Yes. The use of e-cigarettes continues to dramatically increase, and the debate over their safety and appropriate use has heated up, in parallel.
  3. Counterpoint: Does the Risk of E-Cigarettes Exceed Potential Benefits? No. Although the medical community is unanimous in its wish to limit, or even eliminate tobacco smoking, the role of electronic cigarettes in this process has been controversial.
  4. E-Cigarettes: Effective Quit Aid or Vaping Gone Wild? The recent publications in CHEST regarding the widely discordant views on e-cigarettes (also known as electronic nicotine delivery systems) are reflective of the lack of good data we have on the benefits and risks of these new devices.
