What changed
Until now, an enhanced author page meant a photo and a longer bio in a gray box above a list of articles. The redesign turns that page into a profile. At the top are a large photo, your name, your role in one line, and buttons to your website and LinkedIn. Below that comes your full biography with every link, the books you have written, and the episodes of The Podcast by KevinMD you have appeared on, followed by your latest articles. Authors with 10 or more articles also get a line showing how many articles and podcast episodes they have on KevinMD.
Behind the scenes, the page now tells Google and AI tools which photo and which profiles are yours, so the right face and the right links travel with your name. Your photo also appears beside your byline at the top of every article you publish, beside your bio at the end, and next to your name on the home page and topic pages. See it for yourself on the pages of Arthur Lazarus and Jessie Mahoney, or on my own author page.
Why your author page matters
When a patient, a recruiter, a journalist, or a conference organizer searches your name, your KevinMD author page is often one of the first results, and it can rank above your hospital bio and your LinkedIn profile. AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity read it, too. A one-line attribution tells them very little. A profile tells them who you are, what you have written, and where to find you.
What subscribers get
- A premium author profile: A large photo, your role, buttons to your website and LinkedIn, your full biography, and your books and podcast episodes when you have them.
- Your face on everything you publish: Your photo runs beside your byline, beside your bio, and next to your name on the home page and topic pages. Free-track authors appear as a name only.
- Faster publication: Accepted articles run in one to three days instead of five weeks or more.
- A guaranteed podcast interview: You book your own recording for The Podcast by KevinMD on the subscriber calendar. Free slots fill within hours, and the waiting list runs into the hundreds.
- A chance at a subscriber spotlight: Long-term and annual subscribers may be featured in a KevinMD subscriber spotlight, a single page built from everything they have published here, like the ones on Jessie Mahoney and Dennis Hursh.
- A branded attribution: Every article you publish, past, present, and future, ends with an attribution that links back to your profile.
The enhanced author page is $99 a month or $999 a year. You can cancel anytime, and your articles stay published.
If you write for KevinMD, this is the simplest way to make sure the people who search your name see the full picture of your work. Upgrade your KevinMD author page today.
